The Alton & Southern Railroad Employees Federal Credit Union was organized and began functioning on September 1, 1936.

"The purpose of this Credit Union is to promote thrift amoung its members by affording them an opportunity for accumulating their savings; and to create for them a source of credit for loans for provident or productive purposes."

This was the reason the Credit Union was orginally established and still holds true today. 

Our Membership

The Alton & Southern Credit Union has grown from 32 members in 1936 to 520 as of today and we are still growing.
